My partner and I chose The Boathouse for our honeymoonand honestly, it was an incredible experience. The location is just stunning-so peaceful and surrounded by nature. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds and wildlife right outside the window; we even spotted kingfishers, batsand owls during the evening. It’s perfect for anyone who appreciates animals and tranquility. The area is completely fenced, which was great for letting our dog roam freely without worries. The property itself had thoughtful touches for both us and our furry friend - from the pet-friendly setup to the little amenities provided. Our dog had a lovely time watching birds at dawn while lying in bed, which was adorable. The owners were super friendly and checked in on us, plus they left handy tips for local walks and eateries. When we arrived, they’d already stocked the place with essentials like bread from the local bakery, milk, eggs, crisps, homemade strawberry jamand butter - such a nice touch! Inside, there’s a charming bath in the bedroomand outside, a hot tub with views of the countryside that’s just perfect for unwinding. Honestly, we couldn’t recommend it enough and plan to come back soon. It’s a proper little gem!
