The Old Cowshed Reviews

Emma
We stayed at Churchlands again, this time in the Old Cowshed without our dog, after a lovely previous visit in Glebe Cottage with him. The place is really comfy and spacious, with stunning French oak beams that give it a charming, old-world feel. Modern touches like underfloor heating and an outdoor hot tub make it perfect for relaxing. The setting is truly peaceful, offering sweeping views of Romney Marsh and the Kent Downs - just gorgeous. The nearby Ferry Inn is a lovely spot for dinner or a drink at sunset, just a kilometre away. We think Churchlands makes a great base for exploring West Kent and East Sussex or simply unwinding. We're already planning our next trip, can't wait to come back!
Oliver
We recently stayed as a family of four at this lovely cottage and honestly, we loved it! The peaceful rural location was perfect for a relaxing break. The big living and dining area was great for playing board games in the evenings, especially with the fire going. We enjoyed a lovely walk into Rye along the footpath and canal, then took a taxi back. Camber Sands was a highlight, such a beautiful spot. Coming back to the cottage, we made good use of the clean hot tub - perfect for unwinding after a day out. The kitchen was well-equipped, making cooking dinner easy. Overall, a fantastic holiday, whether for a few days or longer - we'd definitely recommend it!
