Just north of the town lies Richborough Fort, one of the most symbolically-important of all the Roman sites in Britain, holding unique Roman artefacts and the remains of an amphitheatre. Head out on a ramble or bike ride through Kent Downs, offering stunning scenery and some of the finest views in the county, whilst Dover is nearby, with the picturesque White Cliffs provide a memorable adventure.
