Herne Bay is a traditional seaside town on the Kent coast. Canterbury is 6 miles south and Whitstable is 4 miles west. There are frequent public transport links to both. The beach is within walking distance and the wider Kent coast Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate is all easily reachable by road or rail.
